I found this painting on wood at an antique store in Cape Cod. I finally got around to hanging it over the Holiday Break and I am liking it.
This is my jewelery box. I altered it in my own quirky kind of way. It used to be a fake wood/cardboard but I painted it white, then laid lace over it as a stencil, and then spray-painted it this mustard color. You can kind of see the lace imprints but it is subtle. I love the little dotted dish which I found in the pottery studio when I was in college, I guess nobody wanted it. On the back it says -Hand Painted by Roxann '59- My son broke it a couple years ago and it also broke my heart (he did it on purpose while throwing a tantrum). He and Papa reglued it and gave it to me for Mother's Day :)
Micah loves to collect rocks for me.
